A buying guide helps you choose between products. These pieces answer a different question: how does this actually work, and what should you believe? Written for Australian conditions — heat, humidity, sudden storms and long track days — and grounded in published sources rather than sponsored claims.

Why does the inside of my tent get wet, and how do I fix it?

A wet tent on a morning with no rain is one of the most misread problems in camping. People blame a broken fly and reach for the re-proofing kit. The usual cause is condensation, and re-proofing will not touch it. This piece explains why the water forms, how to tell it apart from a genuine leak, and the changes that actually fix it. None of it rests on our own lab work. It rests on how warm, damp air behaves, which is basic weather physics that the Bureau of Meteorology sets out plainly.
